This two-day training workshop is available to SCMA members only.

Paediatric First Aid certificate, valid for three years.

This course is tailored specifically for childminders. All relevant areas of first aid are covered, as required by the Care Inspectorate and other relevant bodies.

The award covers: assessment of danger, anatomical difference between children and adults, basic life support including CPR, recovery position and choking, head injuries, Meningitis, Asthma, febrile convulsions, Diabetes, Epilepsy, burns and scalds, eye injuries, shock, bleeding and bandaging, fractures, electric shock, anaphylactic shock and Epi-pen, drowning, hanging, requirements of a First Aid box and parental administration of medicines.

Cost: £136 (inclusive of 10% discount available to SCMA members only). The course can be paid using an ILA200 or credit/debit card.
