Another year, another big day!
Once again, our childminder members helped make Childminding Day another fantastic success – and what a day! And with a little help from Mr. Sunshine, what more could we ask for? Maybe the same again next year…
More than 2500 people made their way to M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park on Sunday 15 May to spend the day as a VIP.
SCMA’s Childminding Day is all about fun - and the team behind the event were chuffed to see so many of you out with your minded families and friends enjoying the sunshine, rides and attractions.
Speaking on the day, SCMA’s Communications Co-ordinator, Jennifer Ross said: “The good weather makes such a big difference – the atmosphere is fantastic. We’re delighted that so many of our members and their minded families have turned out at Childminding Day today.
“Once again Kirsteen and the team at M&D’s have done us proud, and made Childminding Day 2016 the best one yet. It’s great to see so many families enjoying the big day, soaking up the entertainment and taking part in the fun – that’s what it’s all about.”
The free VIP area was packed all day with lots of fun activities for all ages to enjoy. We were leaping on the bouncing castle, listening to the storyteller, dancing to the music with Buster the Bear and Starcast, petting a prickly iguana, decorating cupcakes and making bracelets in the Make ‘n’ Bake Zone.
Thrill seekers had plenty to keep them busy too - and thanks to the continued success of Childminding Day at M&D’s Theme Park, organisers were able to offer our VIPs a ‘Ride All Day’ wristband at the same price as last year - only £7.
