Well, it’s that time of year again – and as is the tradition it’s time to think about making a fresh start, getting healthy and keeping active in 2015.
The Scottish Government’s Eat Better Feel Better campaign launches today (Thursday 8 January 2015) with the aim to inspire and support families make changes to how they shop, cook and eat - and ultimately improve their health.
For childminders and childminding groups, you can get involved and help spread the word of the campaign. Introduce parents and families to the range of healthier choices and show that these are practical and achievable. Promote the importance of a healthy, balanced and active lifestyle for everyone, and most importantly with children.
Visit the Eat Better Feel Better website and explore lots of recipes, handy hints and videos.
As part of the campaign, organisers have produced an Information Pack that may be useful for childminders and childminding groups, which explains the role you can play in supporting the campaign and how to get involved.
The Pack also contains details on how you can request additional materials, including banners, posters, recipe leaflets, fridge magnets, measuring spoons and branded food storage boxes.
