SCMA is proud to support Read On. Get On. – a national campaign to get all of Scotland’s children reading well by the age of 11.
Childminders are ideally placed to help encourage their minded children to read. Research shows that reading for just 10 minutes each day can make a huge difference to a child’s reading ability, skill and confidence – and it can change lives.
What’s the funniest, quirkiest and most interesting place that you’ve found an opportunity to read with your minded children?
Alongside Save the Children, we want to encourage childminders to share and showcase their reading experiences and help launch the Read On. Get On. campaign. We’d ask you to share your adventures, ideas and photos via our

Twitter pages tomorrow (Thursday 9 April) using the hashtag
#ReadOnGetOn.
