On Demand Training is exclusive for SCMA members. Learn with SCMA and enjoy childminder-specific workshops at a time and place that suits you – anywhere in Scotland.
The Learn with SCMA team can arrange for any of our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) workshops to be organised for between 6-20 SCMA members at a date, time and place to suit you.
We currently have 17 workshops available, including Safe & Secure: Child Protection, Building the Ambition, Working with ADHD and the Autism Spectrum, Preparing for Inspection and
more.
To Learn on Demand with SCMA all you need to do is:
1.
View all our workshops and descriptors.
2.
Get together and discuss which workshop you’re interested in.
3.
Pick a date, place and time that suits everyone.
4.
Record the names (and membership numbers) of those who wish to take part.
5.
Call the Learn with SCMA team on
01786 445377 to arrange your On Demand Training.
6.
SCMA will send a priority invitation to named childminders.
7.
Each individual childminder must call SCMA to book and pay for their place, using either a credit/debit card or
ILA.
8.
After one week, bookings will open to other SCMA members in the area.
Remember! You must have between 6-20 childminders interested in taking part, and they must all be SCMA members.
Thanks to our partnership with Glasgow Clyde College, we can also offer our members access to additional complimentary courses, provided you know between 12-25 SCMA members, including Paediatric First Aid and REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene.
