Together Scotland has published the Scottish non-government report to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, on the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
The report, supported by Scottish Childminding Association, will form part of the UK periodic review by the UN Committee, on the extent to which governments are fulfilling their obligations under the Convention. The report will help to influence the questions that the UN Committee asks of government officials and will inform their subsequent Concluding Observations (recommendations) to the UK. These recommendations can be extremely influential on legislation, policy and practice in Scotland.
