Planning must start with the child, involve skilful observation and assessment, and take account of the principles of: Pre-Birth to Three framework; the Curriculum for Excellence; GIRFEC; Children’s Right’s; and the Health and Social Care Standards. Inspections focus on the people who use services, making sure that their needs are met, and that they are well cared for, protected, and kept safe at all times.
When you have successfully completed this Unit, you can then go on to complete any of the other units in any order. When all six have been successfully completed you will then receive the Complete Childminding Learning Pathway, Work Based Award. This provides a total of 24 credits at SCQF Level 7.
