PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT: Laying foundations for effective partnerships CPD Workshop
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT: Laying foundations for effective partnerships
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
By attending this workshop, you will explore:
• explore practical solutions to these barriers
• establish meaningful ways of involving parents in a childminding service.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Childminders aiming to achieve an effective partnership with parents and carers.
WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Parents are the first and on-going educators of their own children and should receive information and support to help develop learning at home and in the community.
We often speak about working in partnership with parents; however this cannot be achieved without first
involving parents.
This workshop will discuss the definition of parental involvement whilst identifying potential barriers.
“Very useful ideas and look forward to trying out new suggestions in how to involve parents.”
“Having a good partnership with parents is important as part of our role as a childminder.”
“Really useful ideas on how best to engage with the families I look after.”
