BOOK NOW for the Equality in ELC event in Edinburgh
The College Development Network is hosting ‘Equality in Early Learning and Childcare: Challenging the Status Quo’ on Saturday 3 November at the Granton campus of Edinburgh College.

This conference is for everyone – including childminders – who are interested in improving equality and diversity within early learning and childcare and those who are interested in adding to and developing their Continued Professional Development (CPL).

The event will discuss the development of a creative and inspiring early years workforce, that reflects the wide range of communities we serve, and which delivers quality services and innovative learning experiences for the early years.

A variety of inspirational keynote speakers, interactive workshops, discussions, and an informative exhibition of relevant stall holders will be available at the event, enabling you to learn, share and network with fellow childcare professionals.

At the Equality in Early Learning and Childcare event, SCMA will be delivering a workshop based on the Natural Health Award in partnership with NHS Forth Valley and with Stirling childminder Caroline Stuart. Learn with SCMA will also be exhibiting the Complete Childminding Learning Pathway and our range of CPL learning opportunities.

In addition, SCMA plays a key role within the College Development Network; representing childminding in Scotland, the training and learning opportunities we offer and the role that we can play in supporting childcare professionals now and in the future.

Working partnerships like these not only raise awareness and recognition for childminding, but also enable SCMA to broaden the opportunities we offer childminders.

Supported by the Scottish Funding Council, this event is FREE to attend and because it is being held on a Saturday, it’s an ideal opportunity for many childminders.

Booking is FREE, but essential. So, click here to find out more and book your place today!
