SCMA is pleased to invite applications for the post of an Assessor for the SQA Complete Childminding Learning Pathway Work Based Award.
SCMA is a membership organisation with 83% of Scotland’s childminders being members of SCMA. We are proud of the role we play in promoting childminding as a quality early learning and childcare service and helping our members be the best childminders they can be.
We are an approved SQA Centre and our Learn with SCMA team supports the ongoing Professional Learning needs of childminders across Scotland.
As a member of our SCMA Assessor team you will:

Develop and maintain effective relationships, and provide support for candidates undertaking the SQA Complete Childminding Learning Pathway Work Based Award.

Assess a caseload of candidates as agreed and undertake all relevant duties relating to the assessor role.
You will have proven ability to prioritise work, analyse information and forward plan. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, good communication and excellent organisational skills are required.
This is a temporary part-time post (6 months), 8 hours per week, however more hours may be available. It will be home-based. IT equipment and mobile phone will be supplied.
Starting Salary: AP3 PT 23 £21,349 (pro rata) and we operate a contributory pension scheme which you will be auto-enrolled into (subject to the conditions of the scheme).
