SCMA members can now access another learning opportunity and watch our ‘Getting to grips with Children's Rights’ webinar, which was hosted by the Learn with SCMA team in November.
Designed specifically for childminders in Scotland, to support your knowledge of children’s rights, this first-ever webinar event from SCMA was held with a small group of childminders as an initial pilot. It is now available for all SCMA members to view at a time that suits you.
The session explored the purpose of the UNCRC, what rights children have and how this is woven into Scottish legislation, such as GIRFEC.
We aimed to explain and demonstrate how childminders can become more confident in supporting and upholding children’s rights in their setting – and discover how children’s rights fit within your everyday practice as a childminder.
