Once again, you have helped make Childminding Day another fantastic success! More than 1500 people made their way to M&D’s Theme Park on Sunday 17 May to spend the day as a VIP.
SCMA’s Childminding Day is all about fun - and the team behind the event were chuffed to see so many of you out with your minded families and friends enjoying the attractions.
Despite a few heavy showers and a chilly breeze – nobody’s spirits were dampened. Everyone came along to the event with the same attitude – it’s the Scottish weather, and there’s nothing we can do about it.
The free VIP area was packed all day with lots of fun activities for all ages to enjoy across our Five Zones of Fun.
Thrill seekers had plenty to keep them busy too - and thanks to the continued success of Childminding Day at M&D’s Theme Park, organisers were able to offer our VIPs a ‘Ride All Day’ wristband for only £7.
Our VIPs also got up close and personal with lots of creepy crawlies at our free Amazonia taster sessions in the Jungle Zone, where we met a corn snake called Tango. And new for this year - Childminding Day VIPs were also invited to buy entry to Amazonia - Scotland’s only indoor tropical rainforest - for only £2.50 per person.
Let’s give a big cheer for Mabel Allen from Blackwood and Dana Given from Edinburgh who both won a fantastic M&D’s goody bag. Congratulations ladies, your prizes will be on their way to you soon!
Mabel was the lucky prize draw winner, and her name was picked out of the hat once all the VIP tickets were collected on the day. Dana won our ‘Let me take a Selfie’ competition on Twitter @ScotChildmind - taken from the top of the Big Wheel.
