New Vacancy at SCMA: ELC Childminding Development Officer in Midlothian

Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is pleased to invite applications for the post of Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Childminding Development Officer in Midlothian.

The successful applicant will work in the Midlothian Local Authority area to develop a quality childcare service with childminders to provide funded Early Learning and Childcare as part of the Scottish Government’s trials. The post- holder will provide a recruitment, support and monitoring  service for childminders who will be part of this service.

You will have experience of delivering training to adults, working collaboratively with key agencies within Early Years and have an understanding of childminding and the role of childminders.

Excellent organisational and inter-personal skills are required and working as part of a team is essential. Enthusiasm, self-motivation, drive and highly developed written and oral communication skills are required.

The post is part-time working 18 hours per week and will be home-based. Equipment and IT connections will be provided.

Starting Salary: AP3 Pt 23 £20,930 pro rata and we operate a contributory pension scheme which you will be auto-enrolled into (subject to the conditions of the scheme).
