Perth Childminders host ‘Picnic in the Park’

Perth Childminders host ‘Picnic in the Park’
Perthshire Childminding Group is hosting their first ever ‘Picnic in the Park’ next Wednesday (15 June) and they are inviting childminders from across Perth and Kinross to come along for a morning of fun!

Wednesday 15 June is the date for your diary and everyone is welcome join in the fun, anytime from 9.30am at the South Inch in Perth.

Picnic in the Park will be a great event for all ages, and to celebrate National Picnic Week 2016 this is an ideal opportunity to get together, enjoy tasty treats, have fun and play games in the park.

SCMA is delighted to be working alongside the group to promote this local event, and we’ll be there too. Lynne Murray, Quality Improvement Officer, and Gillian Paterson, Membership Support Officer will be laying out their tartan blanket and giving you a chance to chat about childminding in the area and the issues that matter to you.

We’ll also be there to represent the national voice for childminding and encouraging more parents to choose local childminders as a flexible childcare option that meets the individual needs of children and their families.

Tracey Joyce, Project Lead for Childminding Induction will also be there, as she is keen to meet as many childminders as possible and introduce her new role in raising the profile of childminding.

We’re all hoping the good weather continues and we can enjoy another sunny day.

However, as we live in Scotland, a contingency plan has been arranged if the weather is against us on the big day. If the weather is poor the Picnic in the Park will re-locate to the church hall on Glenbruar Crescent PH2 0AJ.

Looking forward to seeing you all next Wednesday!
