Remember your Annual Return!

The deadline for your Care Inspectorate Annual Return questionnaire is midnight on Monday 16 February.

If you were registered as a childminder on or after 1 October 2014, you don’t have to complete an annual return in 2015, but it would be helpful if you do. The information you put in will automatically appear in the 2016 annual return and you’ll only need to enter any information that has changed.

Remember - even if your service is inactive, you must submit an annual return.

Each year, the Care Inspectorate asks you to complete their Annual Return questionnaire, which informs them about your service and helps them to plan, inform and carry out inspections. 

The Care Inspectorate has support available if your need it. You can look at their frequently asked questions or you can call their eForms helpdesk on 0345 603 0890.  

When you have completed your annual return, make sure you click on the 'Submit' button at the top of the screen.  A data protection statement will appear - to complete your return, you must select the 'I Agree' box.  If you don’t get an email confirming submission, check the form to see if you have entered all the information correctly.

You can log in to your Care Inspectorate eForms account from any computer connected to the internet.  If you don’t have a computer at home, local libraries and resource centres usually have them.  If you have no way to access the internet you will need to call the eForms helpdesk on 0345 603 0890.
