Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) was delighted to exhibit at the recent Care Inspectorate ‘People Like Us’ conference.
June Lyall, Fife Childminding Development Officer, and Gillian Paterson, Membership Support Officer, went along to man the SCMA stall and answer any questions the Inspectors had.
Both Gillian and June agreed it was an excellent day and really appreciated the opportunity to speak with so many Care Inspectorate staff and the other exhibitors who showed a real interest in the work of SCMA.
Gillian said; “We were made to feel really welcome as soon as we arrived. Gordon Weir and Henry Mathias both dropped by our stall to look through the publications we brought along and ask some questions.
“We spoke to a number of Inspectors too and even have some queries to take away about various issues such as training and Building the Ambition.
“We both enjoyed the day and felt it was very worthwhile.”
