Zero Tolerance Webinar - you’re invited!

SCMA members are invited to participate in an upcoming free webinar training event ‘Zero Tolerance: Challenging Gender Stereotypes’.

This online learning event will take place on Wednesday 21 January from 7pm - 8pm.

Why attend?
Aimed at childminders who work directly with young children, this webinar will support you and parents raise children who are not limited by outdated or restrictive ideas of what is suitable for boys and for girls, and will:

•           look at gender inequality in Scotland and how sexism takes root in the early years.
•           explain the connection between violence against women and gender stereotyping.
•           offer practical suggestions to use in your childminding service and share with families.

Remember, it’s never too early to question what is seen as ‘normal’ or what is traditionally expected of boys and girls in our society.

Attendance will help to demonstrate your commitment to promoting gender equality and tackling discrimination. After submitting a short evaluation, you will receive a certificate of completion.
