SCMA is aware of the First Minister’s statement on Saturday evening advising that mainland Scotland will be moving into Level 4 restrictions from 26 December.
We are also aware that the Scottish Government tweeted some holding updates yesterday, noting that all childminding settings can remain open from 26 December in line with the existing guidance for Level 4 (mainland) and Level 3 (for island communities), whereas nurseries will reduce to providing critical childcare only from 26 December – 18 January in line with schools.
A meeting of the national Recovery Working Group, in which SCMA will participate, will be held this morning (21 December 2020).
SCMA will issue a statement to childminders, providing further detail, shortly after this meeting.
