The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the national voice of childminding in Scotland. SCMA is a national Third Sector and membership organisation that promotes childminding as a quality childcare service. Working on behalf of its members, SCMA helps to improve the wellbeing and outcomes for Scotland’s children and aims to influence policy to ensure that it is informed by the experiences of childminding. SCMA provides a wide range of support and professional services for members including training and events as well as delivering local services. 



Marketing and Communications Coordinator | Programme for Scotland’s Childminding Future 

We are looking for a creative and organised marketing professional with a passion for delivering high-quality content to join our busy team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the SCMA in support of the delivery of a national Marketing and Communications Campaign which is focused on the retention and recruitment of childminders in Scotland. 

You will be working on a variety of media, from producing engaging content for our website and social media to creating toolkits, reports, and information packs. You will be a key player in developing and delivering a high-quality campaign, collaborating with our external marketing agency, and ensuring all our communications align with our brand and overall strategy. 

If you are a proactive team player who is passionate about making a difference and can contribute to promoting childminding as a high-quality, professional childcare service, we would love to hear from you. 

Full-Time: 36 hours per week
Salary: £30,883 - £34,185 

Funding is secured through March 2026, marking the completion of year two of a committed three-year proposal. Funding for the third year will be confirmed on an annual basis.
