Childminders, parents and carers can call our Helpline with any question relating to childminding in Scotland.

Lines are open Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm.

SCMA members can also access tailored one-to-one support from our Childminding and Membership Support Officers or local Childminding Development Officer (where applicable). Our team is here to listen and support and guide you on a wide range of issues or concerns that may seem overwhelming on your own. These can often be easily resolved with a quick chat or email exchange.  To arrange further support please contact the SCMA Helpline (01786 449063, Monday-Friday 10am-4pm) where we will signpost you to the relevant team member, who will be able to offer guidance to meet your needs.

 


Wellbeing and Counselling Service

SCMA members can access a free and confidential telephone counselling to support personal and emotional wellbeing provided by ARAG.
The free helpline is available 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Legal Advice Line

SCMA members have access to a FREE Legal Advice Line, provided by ARAG, staffed by qualified solicitors providing practical telephone-based legal advice relating to any legal issues that arise from the member’s childminding duties. The service can be accessed as many times as you need.
