The aim of this course is to gain a better understanding of what child development looks like between the ages of 3-5 years, and the theory behind it. This will help you to develop an understanding of your role in supporting a child's development and allow you to review and develop your practice to support a child's needs. 

In this course we will explore:

• Explore how children learn and develop between ages 3-5 years.
• Explore how we can aid children to learn and develop through experiences and play.
• Explore the role of the childminder, including the importance of your service ethos, and the environment the child experiences.
• Explore observations, the Leuven Scale and developmental delay.
