Banffshire Childminders are holding a special teddy bear’s picnic in the Duff House Woods next week to celebrate Childminding Week 2017.
To help raise awareness and join the
#CheerforChildminding conversation, Christine Mathieson from Portsoy has written to her local newspaper - the Banffshire Journal - to promote this fantastic event with the help of SCMA.
Using the ‘sample press release’ from inside SCMA’s Childminding Week Toolkit as a template, Christine was able to write a professional press release to the local press and felt more confident. She added: “Thank you for your template this gave me the courage to contact the paper.”
The group is delighted to be getting some local media coverage and has also arranged for a photographer to come along and cover the event next week. This will help raise further awareness and spread the word about the beneficial impact of childminders working in Scotland.
