New applications for Individual Training Accounts (ITAs) will close today (Monday 30 September) for childminders who want to apply for funding towards the Complete Childminding Learning Pathway – a Work Based Award.
Anyone who is already in progress with their ITA application, or who has applied before the closing date, will continue to have their application considered and our Learn with SCMA team will be in touch with you to confirm your details and provide you with the relevant information.
We hope that Skills Development Scotland (SDS) will review the recent demand for ITAs as positive and issue another phase of funding soon. We know this is very beneficial for childminders working towards a qualification in line with the National Standard to deliver funded ELC.

For potential childminders, we still have funding available for our Childminding Induction Support Programme from the Scottish Government, which means that those people looking to establish a new childminding service can access this additional funding. We recommend that those interested should apply as soon as possible and don’t hesitate, as this funding is not infinite.
