Over the next two days practitioners representing the early years, health, education, police, social work and third sector services are gathering in Glasgow at the CYPIC Learning Sessions to discuss how to make Scotland the #BestPlacetoGrowUp.
They will be joined by the Deputy First Minister, Cabinet Secretary for Justice, Cabinet Secretary for Communities, Social Security and Equalities, the Minister for Childcare and Early Years and the Minister for Public Health and Sport.
Anne Condie, Head of Childminding Services, is attending the gathering which marks the first year anniversary of the Children and Young People Improvement Collaborative (CYPIC). Commenting on the event Anne said: “The Children and Young People Improvement Collaborative has been working to deliver quality improvement throughout a child’s journey – from pre-birth until young people leave school. We’re working together to improve outcomes and through research it has already been recognised that the CYPIC it is having a significant impact on improving services. The Learning sessions are now allowing us to opportunity to come together to share and learn from one another’s quality improvement activity in our work with children, young people and families and I am proud to be representing childminding at this gathering.”
The CYPIC gathering gives delegates the opportunity to build even stronger connections and partnerships. It provides an opportunity to work together, to improve life chances for children and young people across teams, services, areas, organisations and boundaries. And it affords the opportunity to work collaboratively to scale up and spread those improvements that are proven to work.
All of this contributes to the shared common goals to: tackle inequality, build equity and make Scotland the best place to grow up and learn.
