The SCMA Care Plan Organiser has been updated, with a new-look and a new name. The new ‘Personal Plan Organiser’ is one of our best-selling childminding tools – developed alongside the Care Inspectorate - and replaces our original Care Plan Organiser.

“Our Personal Plan Organiser is an all-in-one tool to help childminders build comprehensive personal plans for each of their minded children,” said Louise Buchanan, Head of Corporate Services, SCMA.
“We constantly review its contents, which includes guidance and associated forms, in line with legislation and guidance from the Care Inspectorate and annually publish these updates.
“In addition to an updated folder design, the main changes this year relate to All About Me, which has been completely reviewed, additional guidance on GDPR, and changes to Medication forms, Child Protection Documentation and the Personal Development Plan.”
Following guidance from the Care Inspectorate, the ‘Record of Medication Given’ form now includes an addition of why medication was administered and this form should be used in conjunction with the ‘Medication Permission’ form. The key change to the Child Protection Documentation is the addition of a pro-forma example for recording concerns.
