We are asking all childminders who currently deliver funded ELC to take part and complete our annual Funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Survey by
5pm on Tuesday 31 October.
SCMA actively captures data from childminders to support change and progress for the workforce and we’re commissioned each year by the Scottish Government to undertake an audit of local authorities’ progress in including childminders in delivering funded ELC.
Last year’s ELC Audit was significantly impactful and led to SCMA being invited to present and deliver oral evidence on a number of occasions at the Scottish Parliament, on behalf of SCMA members and the wider childminding workforce.
We’d really appreciate your input again this year to obtain an up-to-date snapshot on the level of involvement childminders currently have in delivering funded ELC in Scotland.
