In 2020, SCMA introduced a third course in our #ThinkSTEM series: Exploring Maths and Numeracy through Science. Thanks to funding from Education Scotland a limited number of free e-Learning spaces were made available for SCMA members, and we are now pleased to be able to make this offer again.
During these challenging times, we know that many childminders are keen to engage and build on their Continuing Professional Learning (CPL) with learning opportunities such as these, but cost can sometimes be a hurdle.
This new course is a natural progression from the first two #ThinkSTEM courses, which is designed to help you to promote the use of maths, numeracy, sequencing and problem-solving skills in your childminding setting and enables you to consider ways to further develop your practice.

We only have a limited number of funded spaces remaining. If you’re interested in booking onto this new #ThinkSTEM e-Learning course, please email the Learn with SCMA team at
trainingbookings@childminding.org by this Friday (26 February). If you secure a funded e-Learning course you will receive an email confirming your booking within two weeks of applying.
Please Note: If this offer is oversubscribed, first-come-first-served priority will be given to SCMA members who have been unable to access previous funded STEM learning opportunities.
