SCMA members are invited to take part in a new online training programme from
playbase, who offer flexible child development training for parents and professionals.
The online course looks at the ways in which young children play with digital devices and aims to show you what digital products are available and help you make good choices for young children.
As part of the training course you will also explore topics such as the differences between virtual and real world play, your own digital habits as a parent or childminder and how to keep safe on the internet.
This course is perfect for parents, as well as childminders, early years professionals and health practitioners. You can work through the course at your own pace, supported by an online tutor, with opportunities to discuss your learning in an online forum.
Interested? The course starts tomorrow (1 November) and runs for eight weeks until 20 December. So, get your skates on if you’d like to book a place…
Places will be assigned on a first-come-first-served basis, and places are limited (only 25
FREE places for SCMA members) or the course costs £60.
Book your place now by emailing
maria@playbase.org.uk and don’t forget to email
information@childminding.org to let SCMA know that you’re taking part too.
