SCMA Annual Conference 2020 – Important Update

SCMA Annual Conference 2020 – Important Update
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our members and staff team during these uncertain times, we have taken the decision to reschedule our October 2020 conference to the new date of Saturday 24 April 2021 at the Carnegie Conference Centre in Dunfermline.

The theme will be “Making a Difference,” with a particular focus on wellbeing. It will be the usual mix of insightful presentations and fun, interactive workshops and further details will be released soon but for now, please SAVE THE DATE! 😊

We are particularly excited to be able to reveal that our headline speaker will be former primary school teacher Gavin Oattes, who is now a best-selling author, award winning comedian, international public speaker and successful entrepreneur.

Gavin is well known for his ability to entertain, enlighten and educate his audience and he firmly believes that we as adults can be every bit as inspired by young children as they can by us grown-ups, which is just one of the reasons why we think he is the perfect fit for our conference!

For those of you that haven’t attended an SCMA conference before, here is a video from last year’s event to give you a taster. Look back at the SCMA Conference 2019

In addition - and if April feels too long to wait - we are also planning to offer members the chance to access a free ‘virtual event’ in September/October to keep us all going. Planning is underway for this and we will be in touch with further details soon.

We will also be contacting members shortly with details of our upcoming AGM and nominations for Elected Members.
