Self-Isolation Definitions: Update

Self-Isolation Definitions: Update
The Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland confirmed to SCMA that childminders are NOT defined as ‘household contacts’, linked to the latest self-isolation changes.

As such, it is reassuring that childminders should continue to be recognised as ‘non-household contacts’ of mindees.

Local Health Protection Teams (HPTs) are responsible for determining their own arrangements and undertaking risk assessments, but we understand the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland will work with HPTs to support understanding (where any issues arise) about the need for parity and consistency of approach between childminders and other early years staff who also work in close proximity to children.
