Education Scotland and the Scottish Government would like you to help them out by taking part in their ‘STEM Professional Learning Survey’.
Your responses will play a crucial role in shaping the implementation of the Scottish Government’s National STEM Education and Training Strategy and will guide their decisions about programmes and the support that is required.
SCMA has recently been successful in its bid to gain funding to develop learning resources specifically for childminders, and enhance your knowledge and practice surrounding STEM.
Working alongside the Scottish School Resource Centre (SSERC), we plan to develop three new Continuing Professional Learning (CPL) e-Learning programmes covering various STEM-related topics for SCMA members to access, including a series of Network Meetings and a free online activity resource pack, to give childminders an introduction to STEM.
In addition, childminders who contribute to this survey will also help ensure that your unique settings are recognised, valued and included in national-level plans.
