Sunday is National Hugging Day!
Sunday 21 January is National Hugging Day. Who have you hugged today?

Did you know hugging has some surprising health benefits? Studies have shown hugging reduces the risk of heart diseases; it relieves stress and makes you feel calmer and; it is good for all your relationships including with your minded children.

Hugging releases the hormones serotonin and dopamine which make you feel good and lift your mood. As a result the ‘huggee’ will feel closer to the hugger – so the more you hug your minded children the closer they will feel to you. Hugs help to build secure attachments for children as we know secure attachments build happy children so, go on, give your minded children a big squashy hug!
