Updated National Guidance for Child Protection

The Scottish Government has recently updated the National Guidance for Child Protection in Scotland, which includes key definitions, principles, record keeping and how to respond to your concerns.

The guidance sets a national framework to help shape local practices and procedures, aiming to improve the way all professionals and organisations work together to give children the protection they need, quickly and effectively at the earliest possible stage.

We all have a responsibility to ensure Scotland’s children are safe and healthy; however as a childminder you play a key role in child protection.  It’s essential that your child protection policy, procedures and contact details are kept up-to-date.
