SCMA has been notified by EduCare – the online host for SCMA’s e-Learning courses – that planned updates and changes will be made to their website and e-Learning platform from Friday 23 February 2018.
SCMA has already sent an email to our existing e-Learning users to notify them of this upcoming change and how it will affect their on-going or completed e-Learning programmes.
Educare has advised the Learn with SCMA team that they will be transferring your existing user information over to a new system. During this process, the e-Learning courses you have completed or currently have in progress will be reset.
Please note that any progress you have made on current SCMA e-Learning courses will not be carried over to the new EduCare platform.
Therefore, we would advise all our childminder members to ensure that they complete any current courses and create any certificates you have achieved on the EduCare system
before Thursday 22 February to avoid losing your progress and any completed certificates.
When you download your certificates from the EduCare website, you can save them to your computer or laptop, and also print a copy for your records. However, it is vital you download your certificates before Thursday 22 February.
If you have not started your e-Learning programme as yet and you’d like more time to work through it, please wait and do not start the course until after Friday 23 February, once you have received new login details from EduCare.

The new EduCare platform is designed to be simpler, smarter and more flexible to use, and will benefit SCMA members as they progress their Continuous Professional Learning (CPL). EduCare will send all e-Learning users an email with their new login details follow the transfer to their new platform.
