Each year the Care Inspectorate asks service providers, including all childminders, to complete their ‘Annual Return’ questionnaire.
This year's annual returns will go live and be available to providers
from Monday 9 January via
eForms. The deadline for your annual return to be completed is
Sunday 19 March, which is an extended timescale.

Your annual return is essential and the information you supply will be used by the Care Inspectorate, Scottish Government, and others – providing a useful insight into the overall state of childminding in Scotland. It also informs the Care Inspectorate about your service and helps them plan and carry out their inspection and improvement work.
Remember - even if your service is inactive, you must submit an annual return.
If your service was registered on or after 1 October 2022, you should try to complete an annual return this year, although it’s not mandatory.
