The Scottish Childminding Association (SCMA) is the national voice of childminding in Scotland. SCMA is a national Third Sector and membership organisation that promotes childminding as a quality childcare service. Working on behalf of its 3,000 childminder members, SCMA helps to improve the wellbeing and outcomes for Scotland’s children and aims to influence policy to ensure that it is informed by the experiences of childminding. SCMA provides a wide range of support and professional services for members including training and events as well as delivering local services. 



Marketing and Communications Coordinator - Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future
We’re looking for a creative professional with a passion for delivering high-quality content to join our busy team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the SCMA in support of the delivery of a national Marketing and Communications Campaign which is focused on the retention and recruitment of childminders in Scotland.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Marketing & Communications team to support the design and delivery of targeted communications to a variety of audiences that inspire and inform,  and support the delivery and performance of our digital channels, creating engaging written content for publications and website in line with SCMA’s branding.


Part-Time: 18 hours per week
Salary: £27,278 - £29,930 (pro rata for part time staff)

Project and Data Administrator - Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future 
We’re looking for a a self-reliant and proactive professional with at least two years' experience in a data-focused administrative role. You'll be collating and presenting key statistics to the PSCF team and working closely with staff and childminders to ensure progress along the recruitment and retention pathways of the Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future.

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in supporting the success of SCMA national childminder recruitment and retention programme, ensuring the smooth operation of key data administration and providing comprehensive administrative support to the team. In this role, you'll manage the recruitment mailbox and produce insightful data reports that drive informed decision-making.

Full-Time: 36 hours per week
Salary: £24,514-£26,532

Workforce Officer - Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future 
We're recruiting a Workforce Officer to help us expand the childminding workforce as part of our exciting Programme for Scotland’s Childminding Future, aimed at retaining and growing the numbers of childminders across Scotland.

The successful applicant will work to support potential new childminders by delivering a childminding recruitment model in local authority areas and will work closely with the Workforce Manager, using SCMA’s successful childminding specific model.

Workforce Liaison Lead - Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future 
Are you a relationship builder with a passion for making a real difference in children’s lives? The SCMA is seeking a Workforce Liaison Lead to manage relationships, contributing to expanding our national childminder recruitment programme. You'll be instrumental in nurturing strategic partnerships with local authorities, third-sector organisations, and charities across Scotland. 

Your key focus will be on cultivating strong, productive relationships with partner organisations. You'll proactively engage with local authorities to understand their needs and identify opportunities for joint recruitment ventures. Internally, you'll work closely with our Workforce Manager and wider team to ensure seamless integration of partnership activities, driving us closer to our national recruitment targets.


Part-Time: 18 hours per week
Salary: £35,320 - £38,372 (pro rata for part-time staff)

Training Administrator - 
Programme for Scotland's Childminding Future
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for supporting learning and development. Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your administrative skills can shine? If so, we're looking for a Training Administrator to be part of the team working on our exciting Programme for Scotland’s Childminding Future (PSCF), aimed at retaining and growing the numbers of childminders across Scotland.  

The successful applicant will be the key to ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our PSCF training programme - from managing the training calendar and coordinating logistics to handling attendee communication and maintaining accurate records. The postholder is required to have proven administrative experience, ideally in a training or learning and development environment.


Part-Time: 18 hours per week
Salary: £24,514 - £26,532 (pro rata for part-time staff)
