STEM: Promoting Creativity and Learning in Young Children

You may be thinking: “Really? I care for children and I am certainly not an engineer or mathematician. How can I possibly teach the children these things?”

Fortunately, if provided with the proper environment, materials, experiences and encouragement, children will do what comes naturally and EXPLORE!

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) is now a hot-topic and it’s never too early to introduce a child to STEM-related ideas.  However, it is important to make these fun and engaging in order to stimulate children’s learning.  Children are naturally curious about their world, and through innovative play a child’s STEM Education can start in a childcare setting.

This workshop will look more in-depth at fun-related STEM activities and includes an activity pack filled with exciting ideas.
