The Care Inspectorate is collaborating with the Scottish Government and NHS Scotland to develop a new resource that will celebrate and share examples of good practice for eating well in all early learning and childcare settings.
To help populate the new resource, the Care Inspectorate is asking you to come forward - before mid-November - with your stories and examples of good practice in children’s food provision and positive eating experiences in your setting.
The Care Inspectorate especially wants to highlight good practice examples that cover the range of Wellbeing Indicators (SHANARRI) - so, whether you grow your own fruit and veg, use messy play to encourage eating well, have minded children with additional support needs, allergies or little ones who are simply fussy - we want to hear from you!
Childminders are unique: caring for the wellbeing of children with a wide range of different needs and your stories will help showcase the benefits of childminding in Scotland. The new publication will also enhance the key messages from NHS Health Scotland’s guidance
Setting the Table and will be useful across the wide range of children’s settings in the community, including childminding.
