New updates for the SCMA Care Plan Organiser

New updates for the SCMA Care Plan Organiser
The guidance accompanying the SCMA’s Care Plan Organiser - one of our best-selling childminding tools - has been updated and is now available for all SCMA members to download from the Membership Dashboard.

Our Care Plan Organiser is an all-in-one tool to help childminders build comprehensive care plans for each of their minded children, in the line with legislation and guidance from the Care Inspectorate.

The main update within the Care Plan Organiser guidance concerns medication, relating to the first dose and the procedure for administering ‘as and when’ medications.

A few minor changes have also been made to the ‘Permission to Administer Medication’ form. Childminders must include the reason for administering medication, e.g. high temperature or wheezing, and the condition that it is being administered to treat.

All SCMA members can download the updated Care Plan Organiser guidance from the ‘Documents’ section of the Membership Dashboard. Login now

In addition, the Permission to Administer Medication section within our Care Plan Organiser, the individual Care Plan Packs and replacement inserts have now been updated and can be purchased from SCMA by calling 01786 445377 or login to buy online.
