All childminders will have received an email from the Care Inspectorate inviting them to a consultation event and take part in their Draft Quality Framework for ELC consultation.
The Care Inspectorate aim to develop a Quality Framework that will take account of the National Care Standards and best practice guidance. All responses to the consultation must be submitted by
6 December 2019, and we encourage all childminders to take part and have their say.
Respond to the consultation
Two engagement events about the Draft Quality Framework had been arranged for childminders earlier in November at short notice. Following a request from SCMA for these to be arranged with more notice, these events have now been re-scheduled for:
Saturday 30 November, Malmaison, 44 Whitehall Crescent, Dundee, DD1 4AY
Saturday 18 January, Radisson Blu Hotel, 301 Argyle Street, Glasgow, G2 8DL
In addition, the Care Inspectorate is now also planning a Facebook live session to allow childminders who cannot attend these events in the central belt to connect with them through social media. We hope this will now enable more childminders to engage with this consultation.
