In case you missed it, SCMA’s Graeme McAlister and childminder Susannah Knox had a chat with Kaye Adams on BBC Radio Scotland this morning.
Graeme and Susannah, along with author and ‘Mummy JoJo’ blogger Jojo Fraser, were guests on Kaye’s show to talk about the potential demand on childminding services as the restrictions begin to ease and more parents and carers will be returning to work over the coming weeks and months.
This was a fantastic opportunity for us to shine a light on the flexible, nurturing environment childminders provide for children of all ages, including after school care. Susannah was able to reinforce that, like herself, many childminders have remained open throughout the pandemic to support key worker families and Graeme explained that age appropriate guidelines have been developed to ensure that childminding can operate safely.
