Childminding services can re-open from Wednesday 3 June
At lunchtime today, the First Minister announced that from Wednesday 3 June, childminding services, most of which are currently closed, can re-open with new public health guidance which is being developed to support this.

Please note that the decision on whether to re-open is a personal choice and not a requirement.

This guidance is currently being developed and will be published on Monday 1 June. This is expected to be based upon increased hygiene measures, small group working and physical distancing of adults.

It is also expected that this guidance will provide details of the capacity which settings will be able to operate at and if any changes to practice will be required.

Further information on the announcement can be found here and you should by now have received a letter from the Scottish Government Early Learning and Childcare Directorate, via the Care Inspectorate.

We will continue to keep members updated as further details emerge.
