It’s finally here – it’s Childminding Week 2026 – six days to celebrate childminding in Scotland and #CheerForChildminding!
Childminding Week 2026 (11-16 May) is YOUR chance to shine and help SCMA raise the profile and recognition of high-quality, professional childminding across Scotland.
We want to empower YOU to get involved and #CheerforChildminding – showcasing the true value, breadth and depth of your unique childminding services, and the different you make to children, families and communities.
If we all cheer together, we’ll make a bigger noise….
It’s vitally important that childminders are recognised more widely as a valuable part of the professional childcare workforce. After all, childminders are already caring for more than 20,000 children across Scotland.
We have a number of exciting things planned for this week, and here’s a sneak peak of what’s coming up…
