Online Webinars for Childminders - Book Now
The Scottish Government and partners are developing a series of online webinars for the early learning and childcare sector, including two evening sessions specifically for childminders, which will take place on Thursday 26 November and Wednesday 9 December.

These seminars will support services to deliver high-quality, safe care during the pandemic, and provide opportunities to discuss key issues and challenges.  There will be more sessions for childminders and practitioners working in all-ages childcare in the new year, but in the run up to Christmas, these seminars will focus on safe practice during the pandemic, reasons for the measures that are in place, and what to do if a service has an outbreak.

The Safe Operation of Childminding Services during COVID-19
This event is targeted specifically at childminders. The Scottish Government will be running separate events in the coming weeks and months targeted at the nursery sector – and there will also be further events targeted at childminders, to make sure as many professionals working across the childcare sector have the opportunity to participate in one of these informative and interactive sessions.

Hosted by the Scottish Government, this webinar will provide an opportunity for childminders to come together and hear from the Care Inspectorate and Public Health Scotland on key issues relating to safe operation during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, informed by feedback Scottish Government has gathered from the sector on areas of particular interest/concern.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from a childminder about their experience of operating safely during the national lockdown period, offering critical childcare, and of managing the situation of a confirmed COVID-19 case within their setting.

Save the Date! The Scottish Government is also planning a further session on Wednesday 9 December, with more information to follow.
