Our Board of Elected Members – largely made up of working childminders from across Scotland – have expert knowledge and real life experience of childminding. It’s this combination that helps SCMA maintain the professional status we hold today.
Our Scottish Executive Board, including our two new Elected Members, will come together and be approved at the upcoming AGM on Monday 5 October 2026.

SCMA Annual General Meeting (AGM)
In the spring issue of your
Childminding morning, we mentioned that the SCMA AGM 2026 would take place during week commencing 23 November 2026. However – as advised in the August issue of Childminding News – this planned date for the AGM has been brought forward. The SCMA AGM 2026 will take place virtually on
Monday 5 October 2026 at 7pm.
There are no resolutions proposed for this year.
