Once again, the Scottish Government has fully recognised our plea - especially in light of this crucial time to ensure adequate recruitment of high-quality childcare professionals - the need for this additional injection of funding to attract and support new childminders into the profession.
Head of Childminding Services at SCMA, Janine Ryan, said: “We are pleased to have been awarded this additional funding to help us support even more future childminders for children and families across Scotland to benefit from their high-quality care.
“This funding also reinforces the Scottish Government’s commitment to the role of childminding within the expansion of funded Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) and enable more potential childminders gain full access to our training and support programme as soon as possible.”
